Shawn B. Whitt

CEO

Shawn Whitt is a United States Marine Corps veteran who deployed throughout Asia and earned a place on the Marine Corps Boxing Team. His military service instilled discipline, resilience, and a servant-leadership philosophy that continues to guide his life and career. A passionate supporter of hand-to-hand combat sports and University of Tennessee athletics, Shawn brings the same competitive spirit to both his professional and personal life. Above all, he is a devoted father to two sons and a daughter—his greatest source of pride and motivation.

For more than a decade, Shawn has built and led treatment centers in Southern California and Tennessee, including serving as CEO of Milestone Addiction Centers. He is dedicated to creating healthy, empowering organizational cultures and believes great companies are built through servant leadership and purpose-driven values. His philosophy, “movement is medicine,” reflects both his Marine Corps roots and his belief in science-backed recovery approaches.

Shawn holds a degree in Business Administration from Vanguard University of Southern California and completed Certified Financial Planning coursework at Pepperdine University. Today, as CEO of Trifecta Healthcare Institute, he leads a program designed exclusively for men—built for men, backed by science, and driven by recovery.

Lee Sloan is a United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant (Veteran) whose service instilled the discipline, resilience, and servant-leadership mindset that define his life and work. Following his time in the Marines, Lee served as an Oak Ridge Police Officer, receiving advanced SWAT and FBI hostage-negotiation training. These experiences shaped his belief that every man deserves a second chance and the strength of a supportive team.

With more than two decades of leadership in health and personal transformation, Lee has inspired thousands—first as President of National Fitness Center, then in the behavioral-health field as co-founder of Trifecta Healthcare Institute. At Trifecta, he helps men find hope, structure, and lasting change through programs that combine evidence-based therapies, physical fitness, outdoor activities, and true brotherhood.

A martial arts Master Rank holder, Lee lives the philosophy that movement is medicine and that healing begins with purpose, discipline, and community. He also serves on the Tennessee State Workforce Development Board, advancing initiatives that strengthen families, expand career opportunities, and empower communities. Above all, he values his role as a father, finding joy and motivation in time spent with his children.

Brittany Astrom, LMFT

Brittany Astrombrings more than 17 years of experience in the mental health and substance usetreatment field, along with a deep passion for clinical excellence, leadership,and helping individuals achieve lasting change. She earned her Master’s Degree inMarriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist University in 2008 and hasbeen a licensed clinician for more than 13 years. Throughout her career,Brittany has served in a wide range of treatment settings, including inpatientpsychiatric facilities, outpatient programs, residential treatment centers, andPHP and IOP levels of care. Her extensive clinical experience is complementedby more than a decade of supervising Associate Marriage and Family Therapistsand Associate Social Workers, helping to develop the next generation ofclinicians while maintaining a strong focus on quality care, compliance, andethical practice. In addition to her clinical leadership, Brittany hasextensive experience in auditing and regulatory compliance, ensuring treatmentprograms operate in accordance with industry standards and billingrequirements.

As Clinical Director, Brittany is passionateabout helping clients discover their value, strengthen their voice, and buildthe confidence necessary to create meaningful and lasting recovery. She isespecially drawn to working with individuals who have struggled to findpurpose, self-worth, and connection, and she believes that true healing occurswhen clinical excellence is paired with compassion, accountability, andpersonal empowerment. Brittany strongly supports Trifecta HealthcareInstitute’s mission of serving men through a comprehensive, whole-personapproach that integrates mental health treatment, recovery support, physicalwellness, and personal growth. She believes that creating a safe environmentwhere men can be vulnerable, challenge themselves, and develop healthy copingskills is critical to long-term success. Outside of her professionalresponsibilities, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons,traveling, exploring local coffee shops and restaurants, watching ice hockey,working out, and unwinding with reality television.

Erik Shockleybrings more than 12 years of experience in the behavioral health field, with astrong background in operations, business development, and admissions.Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to helping individuals andfamilies navigate the often-complex path to treatment and recovery, ensuringthat those in need are connected with the resources, support, and carenecessary to achieve lasting success. What sets Erik apart is his ability tocombine extensive industry knowledge with personal experience, drawing fromover 13 years of sobriety to provide authentic guidance, encouragement, andhope to those beginning their own recovery journeys. His passion for serviceand commitment to helping others have made him a respected leader and advocatewithin the behavioral health community.

Erik believes that recovery is aboutmore than overcoming addiction it is about building a meaningful life foundedon purpose, connection, and personal growth. He is deeply committed to creatingopportunities for individuals to access compassionate, effective treatment andto helping organizations deliver high-quality care that transforms lives. Hisleadership style is rooted in integrity, empathy, and a genuine desire to seeothers succeed. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Erik is a devotedhusband and father who values time spent with family above all else. David William is aU.S. Army veteran whose life and leadership have been defined by service,discipline, and an unwavering commitment to helping others overcome adversity.During his 12 years of honorable military service, David completed multiplecombat deployments, served in numerous leadership positions, and graduated fromseveral advanced military leadership schools. His experiences leading inhigh-pressure environments forged a resilient mindset and mission-focusedapproach that continue to shape his work today. Following his military career,David earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and dedicated himself tobuilding organizations and programs that create lasting change in the lives ofindividuals and families facing some of life's most difficult challenges.

Throughout his professional career,David has remained driven by a singular purpose: helping people reclaim theirlives and unlock their full potential. He previously served as Chief OperatingOfficer for a company specializing in interventions, safe transport, and sobercompanion services, where he helped guide individuals into treatment andrecovery. Today, he continues that mission at Trifecta Healthcare Institute,where he champions the organization's philosophy of movement as medicine,helping clients discover strength, purpose, and healing through physicalactivity and personal accountability. A devoted husband and proud father of oneson and two daughters, David brings the same intensity to his family life as hedoes to his professional endeavors. An avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsuand former competitor, he believes that true growth is forged throughdiscipline, perseverance, and the willingness to embrace challengeshead-on—principles that define both his leadership style and his approach to recovery.

Samuel Woodbury isa seasoned behavioral health leader whose passion for service, leadership, andrecovery was forged during his time in the United States Marine Corps. Earninga meritorious promotion to Squad Leader, Sam learned early the importance of leadingfrom the front, building strong teams, and creating environments where othersare empowered to succeed. Those same principles of discipline, resilience, andbrotherhood have remained the foundation of his life and career. Inspired byhis own journey of recovery from addiction, Sam entered the behavioral healthfield in 2012 with a mission to help individuals and families find hope,healing, and lasting freedom from substance use disorders. Throughout hiscareer, he has combined lived experience with operational excellence to becomea respected leader known for his integrity, authenticity, and unwaveringcommitment to those he serves.

Over the years, Sam has held numerousexecutive leadership roles, including Director of Operations, Director ofClient Services, and Director of Admissions, while also earning certificationas a Recovery Coach through the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery(CCAR). His ability to cultivate meaningful relationships, develophigh-performing teams, and drive strategic growth has contributed tosignificant organizational success, including increasing client census by morethan 50 percent while maintaining an average occupancy rate of 95 percent. Moreimportantly, his leadership has helped hundreds of individuals and familiesacross the country access life-changing treatment resources and achievelong-term recovery. Guided by the belief that recovery is possible foreveryone, Sam remains dedicated to expanding access to quality care andempowering others to build lives marked by purpose, connection, and lastingtransformation.

Her dedication to helping others beganduring her teenage years through her involvement with Alateen and has remaineda guiding force throughout her personal and professional journey. Elaine hasfound her true calling in the behavioral health field, where she is committedto helping clients overcome obstacles, rediscover hope, and develop the toolsnecessary to build healthier, more fulfilling lives. Through compassion,empathy, and unwavering support, she creates a therapeutic environment whereclients feel safe, understood, and empowered to pursue lasting change.

Elaine believes that healing andrecovery are strengthened through connection, encouragement, and genuine humancompassion. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside individuals duringsome of the most challenging seasons of their lives and remains deeplycommitted to helping others find renewed purpose and confidence. Dr. Kevin L. Parksis a transformational leader, clinician, educator, and decorated United StatesNavy veteran whose life’s work is centered on helping individuals, families,and communities achieve restoration, resilience, and lasting personal growth. Asa Lead Clinical Therapist with Trifecta Healthcare Institute, Dr. Parksspecializes in substance use treatment, mental health counseling,trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and recovery support. With a uniqueability to combine evidence-based clinical practices with authentic leadershipand compassion, he is dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s mostdifficult challenges while building a foundation for long-term wellness andpurpose. His work is especially impactful among veterans, justice-involvedindividuals, and underserved populations, where his depth of experience andgenuine commitment to service create meaningful opportunities fortransformation.

Before entering the behavioral healthprofession, Dr. Parks honorably served 15 years in the United States Navy,where he participated in numerous military operations and deploymentssupporting national and international security efforts, including DesertShield, Desert Storm, Southern Watch, Desert Fox, NATO peacekeeping missions,Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Throughout hisdistinguished military career, he earned multiple commendations for exemplaryleadership and service, including the Joint Service Commendation Medal, NavyAchievement Medal, and Navy Commendation Medal, while also achieving bothAviation Warfare and Surface Warfare qualifications. Today, Dr. Parks continueshis mission of service as the Founder and CEO of Urban Leadership GroupCounseling & Consulting and Founder of BridgeBuilder Transition &Reentry Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring, leadershipdevelopment, reentry support, and community restoration. As the founder of The Trauma Guru LLC,a United States Air Force Combat Medic veteran, and a retired paramedic with 25years of service, Ken has dedicated his life to helping people navigate andovercome adversity. He specializes in working with first responders, veterans,trauma survivors, and couples facing challenges related to PTSD, anxiety,depression, and relationship difficulties. Utilizing evidence-based approachesincluding Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Reconsolidationof Traumatic Memories (RTM), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Ken helpsclients process traumatic experiences and reclaim control over their lives. Hisunique combination of frontline experience, clinical expertise, and unwaveringdedication to service allows him to connect with clients in a meaningful way,empowering them to move beyond survival and toward a life of healing, strength,and fulfillment.

A proud United States Army veteran, Pops servedhonorably for four years, where he developed the discipline, selfless service,and mission-first mentality that continue to define his character today.Following his military service, he built an impressive career spanning morethan 20 years as a professional cook, mastering his craft while earning areputation for reliability, consistency, and taking pride in serving others.Throughout every chapter of his life, Pops has remained steadfast in his beliefthat true leadership is demonstrated through action, integrity, and an unwaveringwillingness to support those around him.

Known affectionately by both staff andclients as "Pops," Jackie embodies the spirit of brotherhood andselfless service that defines the culture at Trifecta. Whether supportingclients during difficult moments, assisting fellow staff members, or tacklingthe countless responsibilities that keep the organization running smoothly, heapproaches every task with unmatched dedication and professionalism. Regardlessof the mission, Pops consistently goes above and beyond, ensuring thateverything entrusted to him is completed to the highest standard. Outside of his professional role, Scottis deeply committed to fitness and continuous self-improvement. He spends muchof his free time lifting weights, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, andboxing—disciplines that have strengthened his resilience, focus, and commitmentto lifelong growth. He brings the same determination and discipline cultivatedthrough his training into his work with clients, leading by example anddemonstrating the value of perseverance and personal accountability. Scottbelieves that recovery extends far beyond abstinence and that truetransformation comes from building a strong mind, body, and spirit.
